Western Maryland Scenic Railroad

We took a little overnight trip to Cumberland, Maryland to ride the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad for the 32 mile round trip trek to Frostburg. Despite the heat, we had a fun time with Nickolas's friend Greta and her brother and mommy. We road a 1916 Steam Engine that once road on the Lake Superior and Ishpeming Railroad based in Marquette, MI (imagine that!). The steam engine was HUGE. Its clear that it's mighty strength could trudge through the snowy tracks in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan back in the day.
