Opening Ceremonies

We decorated for the London Summer Olympic Games.  The first attempt didn't go too far since they were more interested in making hula hoops out of the rings.  They eventually made their way up with the later addition of the flags.  Nickolas loves the flags - I have a feeling they'll end up in his room.

The arrival of Team U.S.A. during the Opening Ceremonies.  Nickolas was bored for much for much of the ceremony prior to the athlete parade.  He just wanted to watch sports.

Trip to Green Bay

We first stopped by mommy's friend Heather to meet her new 6 week old twin daughters.

Overnight stay with Katie and daughters.  Here they're playing dress up.  Lucy was in heaven.

Lucy identified an Okapi for Uncle Brian.  None of us had ever heard of such African animal before.  Lucy had to teach us.

Summertime Skating

Lucy's first time on ice skates and she LOVED it!  Godmother Amy had her balancing and moving well.  Typically on a first try, you're lucky to go around the rink once.  Lucy did at least 5 times.  I guess all of those hours watching brother helped.  Oh, and wearing a pretty pink skating dress.

Bikes

Grandma got a hold of a few bikes from a friend.  The kids had a great time making a race track in the back driveway.  Nickolas mastered the art of the controlled fall - he seemed to at times have more fun falling than riding.  Lucy, of course, had to use the pink and purple bike.  Flora preferred the Flintstone method to riding.  Very sweet of Grandma's boss to lend us the bikes.
