Christmas Cookies
We did something out of the ordinary and made cut-out sugar cookies with frosting. The kids had fun rolling the dough, finding things other than appropriate cookie cutters to stick in the dough, and pretended the bowl of flour was a sandbox. Quite eventful. Also of note, once he came home from work, daddy's suit is now covered with little powdery white hand prints.

Preschool Christmas Program
Nickolas and Lucy had their preschool Christmas program this morning. Lucy's class joined the other 1-year old class with Miss Jeannine and sang and rang bells to two songs, "The Angel Band" and "Christmas Bells". Nickolas' class sang "Did You Hear About the Baby" and "O Come Let Us Adore Him". We were surrounded by such cuteness, it was hard to keep the camera still. Flora also made her first big outing to watch her older siblings. Two videos are also attached below of their fabulous performance.
Snow!
Today on Daddy's birthday and on the day of Nickolas and Lucy's Christmas program at preschool, we got about two inches of snow. It made for a beautiful day as it fell. We didn't make it outside until it began to get dark out, but luckily we were guided by a few Christmas lights.

Chairs
Nickolas and Lucy have been making different formations lately with the 3 plastic Ikea chairs they have. They've either been making a train while each shouting "All aboard!" while dragging Nana and daddy on board. Or, they pretend to be in The Wiggles' big red car while driving, waving, and singing. Sometimes, Lucy just sits. Quite the imaginations (and a mess).
Lucy's Kindermusik Class
Every Thursday this fall on the days when Nickolas had preschool and when Lucy did not, Lucy and mommy participated in a Kindermusik class. Lucy was always very attentive and enjoyed dancing and playing instruments. Most of all, she loved when each activity ended so she could rush to help clean up and put items back where they belonged. Participating while being 8 and 9 months pregnant for the bulk of the semester was interesting for mommy but the songs were fun and Lucy played along very well. Below, with the various pictures, you can see the amount of activities they do in each 45 minute class. Lucy's favorite was often rolling balls around the room.
Flora's First Bath
Flora's umbilical cord stub fell off relatively quickly (compared to her siblings), so within a week of being home she was able to get her first submerged bath in the bathroom sink. She didn't make a peep and seemed to enjoy it.
Also, for her two week doctor appointment, she gained 10 ounces in a week and is now 6 pounds 3 ounces!
Wee Flora First Two Weeks
Saint Nickolas
This year, Nickolas, Lucy and Flora have their very own Christmas stockings. Nickolas's, of course, has a fire truck. Lucy, our angel face, is an angel (although we need to change out the blond hair). And, Flora is a ballerina. We celebrated St Nick with a few surprises in their stockings - chocolates, new movie, and a little fire truck.
