Katrina and Eric had lots of fun welcoming their wee cousin Nickolas to the family over the summer. Nickolas was in a 'peddling' phase with his legs as if he was riding a bike, which was entertaining to them. Nickolas also had a tremendous time watching the kids play outside. If it wasn't for nap time, he could have watched them all day. You could just tell that he was so anxious for next summer when he, too, could run around the yard with them.
In addition to the entertainment, Katrina and Eric were very helpful with Nickolas. Katrina in her angelic voice would literally sing Nickolas to sleep. I knew I should have recorded it for those emergency situations at bedtime.
In honor of fall -- even though they were taken during the summer -- these photos have a fall-feeling to them. Also included is a picture of a monkey drawing Katrina drew for Nickolas. It currently hangs on Nickolas's bedroom door (out of the line of fire near his changing table). She included each of Nickolas's favorite toys within it -- his green dog, winkle, hedgehog, and firefly -- we're still in awe at the level of detail Katrina used for her drawing.
