Mr Grant Goes to Washington

It was our nephew Grant's first visit to D.C.  He went on a whirlwind tour of the site - we hope he can come again for more fun.

Fall Fest at YFT

We had a busy and fun Columbus Day weekend with Kentucky Uncle David and cousin Grant's visit.  When they arrived, we headed to a Fall Fest put on as a fundraiser for Joe Gibb's Youth For Tomorrow.

Fall Fests

We had a perfect time at Cox Farms a few weeks ago.  The weather was great and we went on a Monday (an early day from school for Nickolas) so it wasn't crowded.  The hayride, slides, and corn maze were a blast and I had great assistance with the kids thanks to Sue and Wayne, who had just as much fun as the kids.

This reminded me of when they were little.

Brewers vs Nationals Series

We had a fun weekend with the Brewers in town.  Daddy, mommy, and Nickolas went to the Friday night game.  Mommy and Nickolas went for the Sunday afternoon game.  We saw the Brewers win both times while they lost the two we did not attend.  After the baseball game, we went to the D.C. United soccer game to complete Nickolas's Super Sports Weekend.

Nickolas was a little scared of the Abraham Lincoln, so he kept his distance.

Sporting Clays

Dan was extremely generous to be flexible to allow for mommy to go sport clay shooting with Sue and the amazing Dave Butz.  I actually hit a few, it was a ton of fun!

First Day of Preschool for Lucy and Flora

Tuesday was Flora and Lucy's first day of preschool.  Flora is in the 1s class with Miss Jeanine two days a week, which Lucy had two years ago.  Flora knew the routine walking in and out of school, so she walked right into her class.  She did cry, however, when she realized I wasn't following her in.  I think she had fun, though.  Lucy is in the 3s class three days a week.  She happens to be in the same classroom Nickolas had that year.  Lucy has a few good friends in her class, so it should be a good and fun year.

Lucy's First Ballet Class

Lucy was so excited for her first ballet class.  She did a great job at a class, which ended up bring a private lesson on the first day.  She took instruction very well and when she was finished she was so warm and thirsty from working so hard with her teacher.  It brought back all sorts of memories for mommy at that age.
