Yay, Mommy's Done With School!
Keeping kiddies occupied awaiting the ceremony. Or, perhaps during the 90 minute ceremony.
Receiving the award for best thesis (toot toot).
Going back up for the degree. And, "lost it" when "YAY MOMMY!" could be heard.
With Hugh, my brilliant thesis advisor who was always full of encouragement (I got lucky compared to other horror stories from classmates with other advisors.)
YAY!
Proud Grandma.
Dan's bummed to not have a graduate student wife anymore (he still obviously has the wife).
"So this is the nice man you spoke to on the phone when I was a newborn..."
Getting inducted into the "Bernd Sunflower Society by his lovely widow Enell.
Lucy also had the privilege of having Bernd being in mommy's tummy.

Opening Ceremonies
We decorated for the London Summer Olympic Games. The first attempt didn't go too far since they were more interested in making hula hoops out of the rings. They eventually made their way up with the later addition of the flags. Nickolas loves the flags - I have a feeling they'll end up in his room.
The arrival of Team U.S.A. during the Opening Ceremonies. Nickolas was bored for much for much of the ceremony prior to the athlete parade. He just wanted to watch sports.
Trip to Green Bay
We first stopped by mommy's friend Heather to meet her new 6 week old twin daughters.
The kids loved the bebes.
Mommy and Heather used to work on the Hill back in the day. 10 years later and there are 5 kids.
Overnight stay with Katie and daughters. Here they're playing dress up. Lucy was in heaven.
The royal treatment.
Bedtime popsicles
Group bedtime stories.
Bay Beach with 25 cent rides.
Nickolas loves Julianne who also plays hockey (her daddy played in college). Lucy was Clair's shadow.
Picnic. Poor Flora couldn't really participate in the rides. Next year.
The happiest place on earth - Lambeau Field. In front of the Vince Lombardi statue.
Just your average Green Bay neighbor with a Lombardi Trophy in his yard.
Side trip to Holy Hill.
