How Uncle Brian Gets Woken Up

When he came for a quick visit - by a pile of kids!

With a brief stop for work, Uncle Brian gave up the comforts of a room at the Four Seasons to sleep on our couch and have early morning visits by one kid after another. Lucy came down first, then Dan handed off Flora prior to going to work, followed by Nickolas. This was what mommy found when she finally made it out of bed - a pile of kids and Uncle Brian.

Still no smiles from Lucy, but we're making progress...

Meanwhile, Nickolas is as smiley as ever and posed for his Pre-K graduation picture.

Happy 3rd Birthday Lucy Grace!

Our sweet Lucy Grace is now 3 years old. She got a new big girl bed with bedding, fairy babies, books, play kitchen items and playdough toys. We started the day opening presents.

And ended the day with family and friends for cake and fun.

Ice Dogs

Nickolas is now playing Northern Virginia Ice Dogs hockey on Sundays for 10 weeks. It's his first time with full pads/gear. Most importantly, it's his first time with a STICK and a PUCK! Each 45 minute session is divided into 3 or 4 drill stations and then the kids play a little scrimmage for the final minutes. It's been the perfect program to introduce kids to hockey.

Nickolas's 5th Birthday Party

Nickolas loves his classmates. It was fitting that four of them turned 5 within about two days of each other. It was even more fitting they all celebrated together and had one big joint party. We had tee shirts ordered with the number 5 on them for the birthday boys to wear and one mom worked her magic to personalize them. The party was at a big inflatable play place and everyone and their siblings had a blast.

Birthday Cake

It wasn't from a bakery this year!
Nickolas brought in the reinforcements for candle blowing. Five is a lot of candles!
