Wedding Part 1

Nickolas and Lucy had an eventful weekend in Charlottesville, VA for cousin Rob's wedding. Nickolas was his ring bearer and did a great job walking down the aisle. Daddy was about half way down waving his teddy bear, while Sue had his fire truck in the second row. Once Nickolas saw that, he couldn't get to it fast enough and started running. Most importantly, he did it!

The fire truck that saved the day.

Family shot

Trust me, this is how you deal with the paparazzi. Point and make a funny face...

Then, run away to your limo!

Weeeee! Thomas Jefferson designed some fun little spots in and around the rotunda for me to play in.

Getting Ready for the Big Performance

Try to catch me.

Lucy's pretty new shoes from Grandma.

Gotcha. Almost dressed.

I cooperated for mommy and am ready to go.

What the heck did you just do to me?

Soccer Jersey

Daddy got Nickolas a Glasgow Celtic football jersey direct from Scotland for Nickolas to wear to soccer practice. Several, if not all, of Dan's family may be groaning since they are all Glasgow Rangers fans (daddy's t-shirt). Sorry, Fiona! Funny thing, Nickolas's coach from Bulgaria is a huge Celtic fan since a favorite Bulgarian player is on the team. We'll need to look up who that player is since we don't follow the team quite that closely -- it's more of a Catholic team versus a Protestant team thing. Also, earlier that morning, Nickolas had a tumble during a play date, hence the mark on his left cheek. It made him look pretty tough later that day for practice.

My First Bike!

Ok, it's trike, but I love it and it's tons of fun. I even like to just sit on it stationary. After a fun afternoon with it and dreaming about it last night, I couldn't wait to sit on it this morning so I jumped on while daddy tried to changed my diaper. I was too quick. How about that for dedication!
My new ride. It even fits my fire truck!
Comes equipped with rear steering and push bar for use until I can pedal on my own.
Off-roading is quite fun with the rubber air tires. This thing rocks, daddy. Good choice.
Oh, and my sister Lucy was watching me ride, too. She'll get to use it when we get bigger.
Naked trike riding -- woo hoo!

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day began the Thursday before when Nickolas brought home this lovely craft project from Miss Benny's. Mommy loves the little crafts he brings home. Then, Saturday was quite the treat as daddy let mommy go out (for the 3rd time in a week!) for the Washington Capitals playoff game, which was a blast. Oh, and two dozen red roses -- one dozen for each kiddie. Daddy even managed to give Nickolas a bath that evening. Sunday brought an almond croissant and a buttery croissant from Best Buns and a chai -- all served in bed and gobbled immediately. We later capped off the day with a long walk since the weather was perfect.

For my mommy.
Dressed by daddy, Nickolas' tshirt did the talking -- "wild for mommy"

Before/After

Before this week's soccer practice

And, after

Hair

Look at all my hair! It's so long, it even curls and is full of body. I hope it doesn't fall out like my brother's did.
